This week in PE, our students are rolling into our Bowling Unit, and it’s a hit! With glow-style lighting and upbeat music, students are having a blast while building important skills like coordination, balance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Learning + movement + fun = a great PE class! We love seeing our students so engaged and active. Way to roll, Tigers! 🐯🎳

Join us at Illini Bluffs Elementary School on Saturday, February 28th, from 9–11 AM for Kindergarten Round-Up!
👧 Your child (age 5 by September 1, 2026) will participate in a 20–30 minute screening and pre-registration.
🚨 Note: Bright Futures students will be screened at school, so no need to attend this event.

Congratulations to Mrs. Swardenski’s 4th-grade class and Mrs. Edwards’s 2nd-grade class, our Tiger Tale Classroom Winners for December! These classes earned a pizza party for having the highest number of students meeting their reading goals for the month. 🍕

Your Illini Bluffs MS 8th-grade girls basketball team is the IESA 2A 3rd Place Finisher!
Congratulations again to our athletes and coaches on a season to remember and way to finish on a win!
We would also like to congratulate Addi Bleichner on being our sportsmanship player for the game.
To celebrate, tomorrow morning, we will have a fire truck escort starting at the Timber-Hollis Fire Department at 8:10 a.m., followed by a reception at 8:15 a.m. at the middle school gym for our basketball team.
Again, congratulations to the team on an incredible season, and we are so proud of all you have accomplished!

We are so grateful to the parents and community members who took time to visit our 5th Grade Wax Museum! Your presence made this experience even more meaningful for our students.
Our 5th graders worked incredibly hard researching historical figures, writing speeches, and confidently presenting their learning. Seeing them come to life as famous leaders, innovators, and changemakers was truly impressive!
Thank you for supporting our students, asking thoughtful questions, and celebrating their hard work. Events like this highlight the strong partnership between our school, families, and community—and we couldn’t do it without you!
A huge thank you to our elementary teachers for welcoming our 7th and 8th grade students into their classrooms today. Our middle schoolers had the opportunity to read their personal narratives and assist younger students, creating a fun and meaningful experience for everyone involved. It was great to see students collaborating across grade levels while our Tigers demonstrated leadership, pride, and responsibility in action. #IBTigerPride 🐯
Congratulations to our 8th-grade girls' basketball team on advancing to the 3rd-place game. It was a tough, hard-fought battle, but this group still has another opportunity to bring home a trophy.
The Tigers will play the third-place game at Havana Junior High School on Thursday, December 18, at 6 p.m. We are proud of their effort, resilience, and competitive spirit.

Our preschool students did an amazing job at their Winter Concert today! From sweet smiles to joyful songs, our youngest Tigers truly stole the show.
We loved welcoming parents, families, and special guests who came to celebrate and support our students. Your presence made the event even more meaningful and created such a special memory for our children.

The Tigers will tip off tomorrow, December 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Havana Junior High School for a chance to advance to the title game. We would love to see our community there supporting these athletes and bringing the energy!
