Illini Bluffs School District is calling all 2024-25 Kindergarteners to come to IBES on Saturday, February 24th, from 9-11 am for Kindergarten Round-Up. Your student will participate in a 20-30 minute student screening. This does not apply to students currently in Bright Future at IBES; they will be screened at school in March. Jackson Carroll is the 144lb IHSA 1A State Champion!!! Ian O’Connor is bringing home a sixth place medal, and congratulations to Hunter Robbins on a great season. We will be having a reception at 4:00 PM tomorrow in the High School theater with a fire truck escort from the Legion starting at 3:50 PM. Great job wrestlers!!

Jackson, Ian, and Hunter are all still advancing in the IHSA Wrestling State Tournament! They each won their first-round matches, advancing to the quarter-finals. Jackson won a tough match in the quarter-finals, advancing to the semi-finals. Ian and Hunter both lost tough matches and will work hard in the wrestle backs tomorrow. Ms. Courtney's and Mr. Bishop's Graphic Design students had the opportunity to visit PIP Printing and American Print on Demand to learn all about the graphic design and apparel process. Students were able to run screenprinting and heat presses, design logos, and learn from two of our industry leaders. #ibtigerpride
IBHS students had the opportunity to learn about the Civil Rights Movement from the Mobile Museum of Tolerance staff. The traveling museum provided each Social Studies class with learning experiences utilizing innovative technology and interactive lessons. Students were able to reflect on the Civil Rights Movement throughout US history and discuss appropriate actions to combat hate. #ibtigerpride

Jackson, Ian, and Hunter are IHSA State bound! At today's Sectional, Jackson placed 1st, and Hunter and Ian placed 2nd. They will wrestle at the IHSA State wrestling meet next weekend in Champaign. We are so proud of all their hard work and dedication! #ibtigerpride
