Today in the IBES hallways students were able to watch a Macy's Day Parade presented by the 3rd graders.  The IBES 3rd graders paraded the halls with their own designed and created balloons.  Leading up to this exciting event the 3rd graders read about the history of the Macy's Day Parade. The students read "Balloons over Broadway," which taught them about how Tony Sarg's assisted with the transition from using real animals to balloons in the famous Macy's Day Parade #ibtigerpride

I would like to send a special thank you to the IBES families for your support with the IB Christmas Hope Community Baskets. The IBES students and staff raised over $2,250 dollars, and more than 1000 jello/pudding boxes! This is amazing participation, I am beyond thankful for the IBES students, families, and staff, and their willingness to give back to our community. Along with the "Spirit of Giving" all students will meet with me this week for our grade level Tiger Trait Assembly. The focus will be the importance of acting with kindness. Please be sure to ask your child about their exciting assembly with the principal. Just a reminder, tomorrow, November 23rd will be a 2:05 PM dismissal. Thanksgiving Break will be November 24th-28th, students will return to school on Monday, November 29th #ibtigerpride

Mrs. Jatkowski's Bakeshop II Community Hour has been producing some AMAZING treats this quarter, including brownies, cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, apple pie cake, and macarons. When asked what they like most about Bakeshop (besides the treats!), students say they love that the class is student-centered, always interactive, and that they have freedom to try new recipes in an atmosphere that's built on trust and a true sense of community.
