IBHS students visited John Runser at the ICC South Campus to tour the Production Welding Program today! Our first student is in the program this semester, and we are excited to partner with ICC. Students in the Early College program earn high school and college credit while obtaining a production welding certificate. We look forward to providing more students with these opportunities! #ibtigerpride
Illini Bluffs School District is calling all 2023-24 Kindergarteners to come to IBES on Saturday, February 25th, from 9 am-12 pm for Kindergarten Round-Up. Your student will participate in a 20-30 minute student screening and pre-registration. This does not apply to students who are currently in Bright Future at IBES; they will be screened at school. If you have a child who will be the age of five by September 1st, 2023, and has not attended Bright Futures at IBES, you can click on the following link to complete the pre-registration form and reserve your time slot for the screening on February 25th from 9 AM-12 PM. Please share this information with anyone you know who may have kindergarten-age students for next school year.

Mrs. Burke & Mrs. Edwards's 2nd-grade classes aligned the recent ELA unit focusing on the community to help out a local community classroom in need. Students in their classes brought in snack donations along with making holiday cards, followed by assembling the snack packs in preparation for them to be delivered to the local classroom. Their classroom project reached 136 very appreciative students this year. This project helped the students deepen their understanding of the real meaning of the holiday season. These acts of kindness certainly have helped spread kindness beyond our own community.

We would also like to thank CF Industries for supporting our school and students! The grants will provide learning experiences for students to incorporate agriculture and the environment into a classroom learning project.
