The Elmwood vs Illini Bluffs Girls Regional championship game will be played tonight, Friday (2/18), at Elmwood at 7:00pm with the 3point contest starting at 5:30. #ibtigerpride

The boys home basketball game tonight (2/18) against Mt. Pulaski is cancelled.

Due to the impending winter storm and the hazardous road conditions that are being projected, school will be canceled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 17, 2022. We will communicate as soon as possible regarding the Girls Basketball Regional, all other after school activities are canceled. The entire facility, including offices, will be closed tomorrow to all school groups and all community groups. Before and After Care through Hollis Park will also be closed tomorrow. As communicated earlier this year, we will have traditional snow days and not E-Learning. Please be aware that we will make up missed days at the end of the year. Stay home and stay safe.

The Cricut Design Community Hour showed off their explosion box creations. Students learned how to design in cricut design studio and customize their own boxes. The students also finished up learning how to screen print shirts for Anything Goes games! #ibtigerpide





Success! Anime Community Hour solved the riddles and found all 7 mythical Dragonballs. A crossover between Japanese culture (Shonen Storytelling) and classic Chinese mythology (Journey to the West), Dragonball remains a cultural juggernaut. #ibtigerpride





Created in 1979, the world of Gundam has been a staple of Japanese storytelling for decades. Community Hour students took these tales of technology, war, and political intrigue and created their very own Gunpla Model Kits - showcasing their individuality. #ibtigerpride





Paul Ishikawa, Ian O’Connor, Jackson Carroll, and Hunter Robbins all win their semi-final matches advancing to the sectional finals later this afternoon. Avery Speck won his first match and fought hard in a close loss in his second. Great job Wrestlers! #ibtigerpride

To celebrate World Read Aloud Day, students in the Pay It Forward Community Hour shared stories of kindness with Bright Futures friends today. Sharing stories helps children learn to navigate and define their place in the world, and reading aloud strengthens both individual learners and entire learning communities.

Farm to table in the classroom? Yes! During Community Hour today, the Mother Nature class enjoyed the fruits of their labors - fresh salad greens! Grown hydroponically, students harvested what they wanted to eat and added toppings. As they enjoyed their tiny salads, students discussed the many benefits of not only growing their own food, but also shopping locally at family farms.





The High School fanbus for IHSA State Cheerleading is still on for tomorrow (2/4/2022). HS students wanting to ride the bus should bring their $2 to the office first thing Friday morning. Reminder: students must purchase their IHSA digital ticket before geeting on the fan bus.
