Our 5th graders had an amazing opportunity today as they welcomed Meteorologist Szalavari from News 25 to IBES! 🌪️ Students got to learn about weather directly from the source and were captivated by the engaging presentation.

Mrs. Alvey's first-grade class was hard at work in math today! The students practiced comparing numbers by using themselves as the model in number sentences. As part of their math warm-up, they worked through the problems together, building their number sense and collaboration skills. Great job, first graders! 👏🍎

Anything Goes was a success. The students raised over $1300 in penny wars, and the sophomore class came out on top of the entire competition!
Today, our IBES students were thrilled to finally meet our Masked Readers during the assembly, and the excitement was absolutely contagious! It was an unforgettable moment for everyone involved.
A huge thank you to our amazing staff and PTO for supporting this week-long event and making it such a success. Many students went home with prizes, but most importantly, they left with an even greater love for reading! 📚✨

Illini Bluffs HS students attended a career summit at ICC. Students were exposed to on-the-job skills, networked with local experts, participated in mock interviews, and began preparation for life after high school
SAFETY UPDATE: STUDENTS & STAFF ARE SAFE FOLLOWING SEVERE WEATHER
Dear Illini Bluffs Families,
This afternoon, our district activated our severe weather protocols in response to a tornado warning in our area.
- Students and staff at school followed established safety procedures and sheltered in designated areas.
- Buses that were still in transit safely sheltered at secure locations.
- Families of all impacted bus-riding students were contacted directly.
- Final student drop-offs are now being completed.
We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, and transportation team for their calm and quick response. We also appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our families as we prioritized safety. Our safety team will debrief in the morning to identify areas of improvement.
