As the Illini Bluffs School District begins the 2026-2027 school year, we are excited to officially welcome two new educational leaders to our administrative team. Mrs. Stefanie Pitzer joins the district as our new Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and Mr. Mark Gregory joins Illini Bluffs as our new Elementary Principal.
Mrs. Stefanie Pitzer, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
Mrs. Pitzer brings more than 20 years of educational experience to Illini Bluffs. She most recently served as the K-8 Principal at Limestone-Walters School District #316, following four years as a K-12 Instructional Coach in Dunlap School District and 11 years as a second-grade teacher.
Throughout her career, she has focused on instructional leadership, professional learning, data-informed decision making, and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
She earned her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Western Illinois University and her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University. She has also served on numerous curriculum, leadership, and strategic planning committees and was recognized as the 2025 IDEA (Illinois Digital Educators Alliance) Administrator of the Year.
Mr. Mark Gregory, Elementary Principal
Mr. Gregory joins Illini Bluffs after serving as Assistant Principal at Ingersoll Middle School in Canton. Prior to that role, he served as Dean of Students and spent nearly a decade teaching middle school science in Canton after beginning his career teaching in both Illinois and Arizona.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to supporting students, collaborating with staff, and building positive school communities.
He earned his Master's degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from Western Illinois University and his bachelor's degree in Education from Western Illinois University.
