IB Stakeholders,
Undoubtedly, you have seen media coverage on the Coronavirus. A meeting was recently held with Jason Marks, Director of Emergency Management and Preparedness, from the Peoria City/County Health Department, the Peoria County Regional Office of Education, and superintendents from Peoria County. The purpose of the meeting was to educate the superintendents about this virus and to answer any questions.
At this point in time, there are no known cases of Coronavirus in Central Illinois. If it appears in our schools, it will be handled like any other virus has been handled in the past. This includes educating our students on the importance of hand-washing, staying at home when exhibiting signs or symptoms, and appropriate cleaning practices within school.

NOTICE OF BOARD MEETING CHANGE: The Illini Bluffs CUSD #327 school board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2020 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Illini Bluffs High School Library.
If you have a current 4th-grade student through current 6th-grade student and would like them to join the IB Volleyball Club please check out the registration form at https://bit.ly/392PCiR. Registration cost is $75. The league will practice mostly on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30 PM and will play games on Saturday mornings

IBES students loved the chance to get outside and play in the snow today. Don’t forget to send snow pants and boots when there is snow on the ground.
We will be having PTO movie night tonight for K-2 student who turned in their permission slips. It will be over at 5:15.

IBES Students got to enjoy watching 9 IBES staff members get a pie in the face today to celebrate making our PTO Box Tops goal of $800. All the staff members were good sports and students had a blast to kick off Christmas break.
Music was in the air and wishes for a Merry Christmas today at the Bright Futures and ECE winter concert.
PTO Holiday Night is this Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm. This is a free family event where you can make an ornament, decorate cookies and listen to Christmas stories. There will also be teacher wish lists posted if you want to look at some ideas for teacher Christmas gifts.
