Dear Illini Bluffs Community,

I am sure you are aware of our longstanding tradition to honor veterans on Veterans Day.  It is extremely important to recognize these individuals and to impress upon our students the significant contributions they have made for our country and the freedoms we enjoy.  Unfortunately, due to COVID, we are unable to provide our normal, in-person ceremony and luncheon this year. We still feel it is important to recognize these important men and women.  Instead of the in-person ceremony, we are working on a couple of things.

First, our elementary and middle school students are in the process of creating cards for the vets.  We are creating cards that can be personalized, and we are creating generic cards that will be provided to the American Legion to be distributed to area veterans.  If you know a veteran, or you are a veteran, that would like a personalized card, please contact us via the form link below.

Second, we are working on a video as a tribute to our veterans. If you know a veteran, or you are a veteran, that would like to be honored in the video, please contact us via the form link below. The video will be released on Veterans Day to be enjoyed by the greater community via social media, the school website, etc.

We are saddened to not be able to provide our traditional ceremony, but we are committed to recognizing these important individuals for what they have done for all of us.
